The Seton Hall Pirates are looking to build off of a great 2024–25 season, with a returning core and some new faces. Freshman Ari Woodard is one of those new faces, a 5’8 combo guard who will look to fit right into the Pirates system this season.

Coming from Orlando, Florida, Woodard was a key piece for the Lake Highland Prep Highlanders in all four of her years there, with her best season coming during her senior year. Woodard averaged 15 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.3 steals, and shot 49% from the field while being the team captain.

In her time at Lake Highland, she led the team to a 90–29 record, and in her senior season brought the team to the second round of the Florida High School Athletic Association state tournament. She was also named to the Orlando Sentinel All-Area Second Team in her senior year.

Woodard is a proven scorer and facilitator on the court and already has some connections to the Pirates. Sophomore Jada Eads was a former high school teammate of hers, playing with her freshman to junior year.

This season, Woodard is expected to see some time as Seton Hall looks to fill the void of guards Amari Wright and Kaydan Lawson. With team chemistry already a key to her fundamental style of play, Woodard will be one of five incoming freshmen joining the Pirates and looks to help fuel another strong season.
